Video Pension Statements now Available
The NESPF was the first pension fund in the UK to be able to offer its members the new iteration of My Pension+. This advanced version of the member self-service portal offers unique benefits including video pension statements delivered by artificial intelligence.
This means that moving forward, each year your pension statement will be available online at My Pension+ in the form of a talk-through video.
The personalised 5-minute video is unique to your pension and will guide you through the most important parts of your statement in a straightforward and simplified manner.
Pension statements give an insight into the information that the Fund holds on your pension. Some of this information changes from year-to-year and so it is important to stay informed. The NESPF encourages members to check in on your annual pension statement to ensure that you are well aware of your pension figures and therefore in the long-term, better prepared for retirement.
How do I view my pension statement?
To view your 2024 pension statement:
- Visit My Pension+ and sign in
- Visit the “Annual Benefit Statement” page on the home screen
- If you have more than one role, be sure to select the appropriate job title from the “Employment” drop-down and choose the “Statement year” you wish to view
- View your personalised video or click through the tabs for detailed figures
What does my pension statement show?
Your statement shows a summary of your pension figures. This includes what you could get when you retire, a breakdown of your current pension value, lump sum options and your death benefits.
Can I see pension statements from previous years?
If you are a Deferred member, with pension on hold until retirement, the Annual Benefit Statement area of My Pension+ will only show your 2024 pension statement at present. Moving forward, future benefit statements will be added to this area. You will find your previous statements in the Documents and Uploads section under “Files sent to me”.
If you are an Active member, currently paying into the scheme, the “Annual Benefit Statement” area of My Pension+ contains previous statements, you simply have to select the “Statement Year” you wish to view in the drop-down menu.
How do I view statements for other roles I have?
If you have more than one role, you can switch between records to view your pension figures for each role. To view statements for other records, use the “Employment” drop-down menu. You’ll see this on the top left of the Annual Benefit Statement page.
